Seniors Van
Reliable Rides for Happy Valley Seniors
The LFC Senior’s Van provides reasonable-priced transportation for individuals 50 years of age and older throughout Happy Valley-Goose Bay. The van is available Monday to Friday, 8:30am-12:00pm and 1:00-3:30pm.
Health, Comfort, and Safety
• No smoking is permitted in the van at any time
• Seat belts are mandatory for all passengers
• If a senior requires an escort due to mobility issues, the escort can accompany the senior at no cost

Valley To:
Base / Hamilton Heights (MOT) / Spruce Park
North Side $7.00 and return $14.00
Valley To:
Dock $10.00
and return $20.00
Hamilton Heights (MOT) to:
Base $5.00 and return $10.00
Additional stops: $1.00
History
The Labrador Friendship Centre in partnership with the Ikajuttiget Board, and through community donations, is still to this date operating the service for seniors 50 years later to Indigenous and non-Indigenous individuals 50 years of age and older. Seniors use this service to run daily errands such as picking up groceries or checking the mail, to attend appointments, to make social visits to fiends, and to attend community events and programming.
The Labrador Friendship Centre believes that accessible and affordable transportation us vital to meeting the needs of seniors and reducing the barriers of social isolation. We are happy to be able to provide this service in a comfortable, convenient, and affordable manner. We recognize and greatly appreciate the support of our community, businesses, and individuals to allow us to continue this service for years to come.
