Little Tree Family Centre

What we do

The Little Tree Family Centre is a welcoming space where Indigenous children and their families can learn, grow, and connect in a supportive environment. Our program promotes the social, cultural, educational, physical, emotional, and nutritional development of children from infancy to six years old—while also supporting their parents and caregivers.

We believe that learning begins with a strong sense of identity and belonging. At the Little Tree Family Centre, children and families take part in daily activities that celebrate Indigenous cultures, languages, and traditions. Through songs, stories, crafts, and play, the program integrates Inuktitut, Innu-Aimun, and English, helping children build early language and cultural connections.

To make participation easier for families, transportation is provided for both children and parents. The Centre also works closely with Elders, who share their wisdom and cultural knowledge, ensuring that each child grows up with a strong foundation of respect, community, and pride in who they are.

The Little Tree Family Centre is more than a program, it’s a community where families come together to learn, play, and support one another in a nurturing, culturally rich environment.
